  • In a large microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined and no lumps remain. A fork works well for this.
  • Add the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the mug. Stir with the fork until the batter is smooth.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips and diced strawberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Microwave on high for 1 minute to 1 minute and 30 seconds, or until the mug cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Start with 1 minute and add 30-second increments as needed.
  • Let the mug cake cool for a minute or two before enjoying. This allows the flavors to meld and prevents burning your mouth.
